Learn to Play Star Wars: Legion

The Sentry Box will be hosting a Learn to Play Star Wars Legion event on Saturday November 2nd from 11am to 2pm.

With the recent release of the clone wars core set and the (presumably) resulting influx of new players, it’s prime time for a learn to play session to help people get the lovely minis out and on the table. Whether you are brand new, need a refresher, or want to go a little deeper, all levels are welcome! It will be casual and drop in and we can discuss rules, do some mini games, and generally get a feel for the game mechanics.

Your models don’t need to be painted, just bring what you’ve assembled! For prospective players, I’ll bring some of my troops along that you could take out for a spin as well.

What have the Sentry Box Staff been up to – Oct 21-27

We start our weekly blog with some light card games played at Monday Board Game Night, beginning with 5211. Greg, “Got a chance to play a four player game of this little card game. I like it even more with more players. It’s simple but there are some interesting choices to make.” Renee, “A simple concept, everyone plays 2, then 1, then 1 card. The trick is that only the majority colour scores, but not if it gets too many cards. So figuring out which cards to play, when you don’t know what your opponents will do, is a fun social game. Another card game that has us both laughing and cursing each other’s choices.” Followed with Llama, Greg, “Also got to play a four player game of Llama. Another simple but fun and addictive little card game!” Renee, “I’m enjoying sharing this with new folks, don’t be surprised if I suggest it in the future.”
