An overview of some the news and events happening in the industry this last week.

  • Renegade to Publish Kennerspiel Nominee, Raiders of the North Sea in English

Renegade Game Studios™ has partnered with Garphill Games, a leading New Zealand publishing company, to release Raiders of the North Sea and its expansions in English.

  • 2017 Spiel des Jahres shortlist released

The shortlist for board game’s biggest international award, the Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year), has just been announced by the German critics’ association that awards the prize.

  • New Warhammer RPGs announced from Cubicle 7

A new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay will be launched by Cubicle 7 Entertainment later this year. The new edition will return players to Warhammer’s grim world of perilous adventure, and takes its direction from the first and second editions of the game. Games Workshop and Cubicle 7 Entertainment have also announced the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Roleplaying Game, for release in 2018.  These two games will be independent game lines with different rulesets.

  • Ares Games announce new Last Friday expansion and Monsters vs. Heroes games

Ares Games is extending the partnership with Pendragon Game Studio, and will release the English-language edition of two new games published by Pendragon: the first expansion for the survival horror game Last Friday – “Return to Camp Apache”, and the thrilling card game “Monsters vs. Heroes – London After Midnight”. Both are expected to release in September 2017.
